11 days after the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria survivors are still being pulled alive from the rubble.
Overnight more people were rescued, a 14-year-old who had been feared dead by his family and a 34-year-old who since the earthquake has become a father. As he was taken away on a stretcher, he was put on a video call with his parents who showed him his new born baby.
The death toll in Turkey now stands at 38,044 and in neighbouring Syria, already shattered by more than a decade of civil war, authorities have reported more than 5,800 deaths.
Over 50,000 households are estimated to be in need of tents or emergency shelter, The World Health Organisation has expressed particular concern about the welfare of people enduring freezing winter temperatures.
