  • Holiday Activity and Food Programme. In 2021 the Government announced a 3-year funding settlement for the Holiday Activity and food programme (HAF).   1. Warm Spaces Initiative

 

  • The Warm Welcome website aims to support organisations to open their doors and provide a warm welcome to those struggling to heat their homes this winter.

It also has more than 4,000 registered organisations that have opened, or are opening free, warm, welcoming spaces for the public over this winter across the UK.   1. Public libraries

 

  • Visit your local public library to borrow books, you can ask or search for books that will help with the cost of living, including cooking on a budget, slow cooking and living on a budget.

 

  • You may also be able to access eAudio books, eBooks and eMagazines/eNewspapers via your public library.

 

  • Public Libraries are also a great place to find out about and join in with a range of free social activities (ranging from rhyme time sessions for little ones, children’s activities, book clubs, social groups and much more).
