About The Role

We are seeking a confident and engaging Healthcare Assistant to provide 1:1 complex care for a young person with significant physical and neurological needs in East Malling.

A driver is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 personal care, repositioning and safe moving and handling.
  • Support with enteral feeding, medication administration and general clinical tasks (training provided where needed).
  • Monitor wellbeing, including epilepsy awareness and responding appropriately during seizures.
  • Carry out oral suctioning, follow respiratory care needs and use non-invasive ventilation equipment safely.
  • Engage the young person in sensory play, music, stories, and conversation to support comfort and stimulation.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally and compassionately, recognising non-verbal cues and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safeguarding, clinical and infection-control procedures.
  • Ensure vigilance and alertness during the shift to provide safe, continuous monitoring.

Unity Care Solutions provides complex clinical healthcare services to children and vulnerable adults within the comfort of their own homes.

You will work with a small number of our clients to provide dedicated and professional healthcare services.

Available shifts include:

  • Waking Nights – Monday to Saturday

To be successful, you will:

  • Have complex care experience including suctioning with a willingness to learn and upskill through additional training.
  • Hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Be able to commit to the minimum availability of shifts
  • Hold the right to work in the UK. Please note that we are unable to offer VISA sponsorship.
