About The Role
We are seeking a confident and proactive Healthcare Assistant to work alongside a Registered Nurse providing 2:1 care for a child with complex medical needs including epilepsy, dystonia, respiratory support, and gastrostomy feeding. The client is non-verbal and non-mobile but engaging, with interests in arts and crafts and family outings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal care and manual handling
- Support medication administration under nurse supervision
- Assist with respiratory care including suctioning and oxygen
- Follow clinical care plans and physiotherapy routines
- Work collaboratively as part of a 2:1 care team
Unity Care Solutions provides complex clinical healthcare services to children and vulnerable adults within the comfort of their own homes.
You will work with a small number of our clients to provide dedicated and professional healthcare services.
Available shifts include:
- Days and Nights
- Friday every week – 08:00 to 20:00
- Alternate Friday Nights – 20:00 to 08:00

To be successful, you will:
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in care involving manual handling and medication
- Confidence in following nurse-led clinical instructions
- Confident, and able to think quickly in medically complex situations
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
- Be able to commit to the minimum availability of shifts
- Hold the right to work in the UK. Please note that we are unable to offer VISA sponsorship.
