About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join a supportive care team, providing 1:1 support to a male client with complex care needs, including Cerebral Palsy, cognitive impairment and epilepsy. The client is non-verbal but demonstrates reliable non-verbal responses and engages well with familiar routines and preferred activities.

He is a wheelchair user and requires full support with personal care, manual handling (hoisting), and complex clinical interventions. The client enjoys arts and crafts, music, social visits, and attending football matches, and regularly takes part in day services with staff support.

Key Responsibilities:

· Tracheostomy care, including suctioning

· Night-time ventilation support

· Nebulisation and oxygen therapy as needed

· Enteral feeding via gastrostomy & supported oral feeding

· Full assistance with personal care (pad changes, hygiene, etc.)

· Safe manual handling including hoist transfers

A full driving licence with access to your own vehicle is essential.

Unity Care Solutions provides complex clinical healthcare services to children and vulnerable adults within the comfort of their own homes.

You will work with a small number of our clients to provide dedicated and professional healthcare services.

Available shifts include:

· Days

· Nights

· Weekends

To be successful, you will:

· Minimum 1 year in a complex care setting

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Professional yet warm and playful approach to care

· Willingness to learn and undertake further training

· Hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle

· Be able to commit to the minimum availability of shifts

· Hold the right to work in the UK. Please note that we are unable to offer VISA sponsorship.
