This briefing series challenges the NHS and social care manifesto commitments of UK political parties in advance of the general election. The second in the series looks at adult social care and sets out some possible criteria, such as funding and workforce, aiming to support long-term social care reform. It is based in part on research into other countries, such as Germany and Japan, which have carried out comprehensive and politically successful reforms.
